I recently came across a fascinating map showing how incumbents could be left behind if they don't adapt. The pace of change is astonishing โ think of major players like Adobe, QuickBooks, and Peloton, whose high monopoly prices might soon become their Achilles' heel!
Hereโs my view on AI agents in three waves:
Wave 1: Text-Based AI Agents
Transforming roles dominated by text โ marketing, paralegal support, and customer service โ with efficient language-based automation.
Wave 2: Multi-Modal AI Agents
Integrating into areas that require processing multiple types of data, such as architecture, gaming, and education.
Wave 3: Regulated Industry AI Agents
Gradual adoption in sectors with strict rules like healthcare and finance. With Larry Ellison positioning himself heavily in this space, I wouldnโt be surprised if Bezos follows suit, especially around medtech and cures.
