Take $BKNG (Booking Holdings Inc) as an example. Booking's EPS often looks weaker in the lower quarters because travel demand is highly seasonal. Summer bookings are recognized later, causing a large EPS jump in September (Q3) when peak travel revenue flows through. Less experienced investors and even some analysts may glance at a softer quarterly EPS, assume growth is slowing, and issue bearish ratings before the seasonal earnings surge arrives. Don't confuse seasonality with deterioration. If the long-term thesis is intact, weaker seasonal quarters can offer better buying opportunities than chasing the stock after strong September results and don't just look at one quarter. Focus on the quality of the business, its competitive advantages, cash generation and long-term earnings power with the trends in that market, not just the timing of quarterly profits. $ABNB (Airbnb Inc) $VTI (Vanguard Morningstar Total Stock Market ETF) $RCL (Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd) $CCL (Carnival Corp Ltd) $VOO (Vanguard S&P 500 ETF) $SPY (State Street SPDR S&P 500 ETF) $VT.US (Vanguard Total World Stock ETF)
