Space Companies (Part 1 of 2) The efforts to commercialize space are coming from such a diverse range of organizations around the world that it’s not obvious at first glance why I’ve chosen to invest in some of the companies that are in this portfolio. Here is a very brief outline of some of the space related activities of each company in this portfolio: AIR.PA (Airbus) - Provides products and services for all aspects of communication, navigation and earth observation satellites; owns 50% of ArianeGroup - www.airbus.com/en/space - https://www.ariane.group/en/ ASTS (AST SpaceMobile) - Is developing a constellation of satellites to provide service directly to unmodified mobile phones anywhere on Earth. - ast-science.com/ BA.L (BAE Systems) - Produces a range of radiation hardened electronics for use in space by both defense and civilian operators.
