A quick re-cap on November; It was a very volatile month, with concerns raised again of an AI bubble, resulting in a tech sell off. Also, a cautious sentiment ahead of the Fed's meeting next week added to concerns. However, the portfolio still managed to make it into the green, ending November with a small profit π
December has started with more confidence after US PCE data came in below expectations yesterday (report delayed following government shutdown), making a rate cut more likely next week. For the UK, predictions are mixed ahead of the BOE meeting, with a slight lean towards a rate cut also.
As eyes start to look to 2026, there are some really positive predictions out there and a few more cautious sentiments too. Without a crystal ball, no one can know 100% what lies in store, so im still focusing on staying invested with a small percentage of the portfolio in cash to take advantage of any opportunities that arise over the coming weeks. Also, over the next few weeks I will be looking at the portfolio and assessing what tweaks, if any, to make ready for January's update to you.
A few dates listed as usual below, I dont have all, as some dates are not confirmed yet for key releases...a knock on effect of the shutdown still.
As this will most likely be my last post of the year, I just wanted to say a big thank you to you all for your support and trust on here. It is greatly appreciated ππ
