Ethereum Spot ETF Sees Dawn? Possible Approval by May 23rd? Hello everyone, according to the latest news, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is requesting exchanges to expedite the submission of 19b-4 documents for Ethereum spot ETFs. Bloomberg analysts and Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett said that the SEC may make a 180-degree turn on this due to political issues, and they have increased the probability of the Ethereum spot ETF being approved by May 23rd to 75%. ⚡ETH Surges 18% to $3,640 Affected by this news, the price of Ethereum (ETH) surged 18%, currently reported at $3,640. ⚡What Needs to Be Done Before the May 23rd Deadline? May 23rd is the deadline for the VanEck Ethereum ETF and Bitwise Ethereum ETF. The same five commissioners who reviewed the Bitcoin ETF will vote to decide whether to approve or reject the Ethereum spot ETF application. If the voting results of the four commissioners are the same as last time (2:2), then the vote of SEC Chairman Gary Gensler will decide whether it passes. Before this, these ETF issuers and exchanges still need to submit some key documents, including the 19b-4 (exchange rule change) submitted by the exchange and the S-1 (registration statement) submitted by the ETF issuer. Based on the previous example of the Bitcoin spot ETF, the SEC can approve the 19b-4 first, and then slow down the S-1. In conclusion, as May 23rd approaches, the market is full of expectations for the approval of the Ethereum spot ETF, which has also driven up the price of ETH. Let's wait and see if it will be approved this time! Investing is like a marathon. Once you've chosen the right asset, all that's left is to wait patiently. Time will give you the best return. $BTC $ETH $IBIT (iShares Bitcoin Trust) $GBTC (Grayscale Bitcoin Trust BTC)
