So many companies want to get in on the action, and AMD and Intel are doing their best to gain market share. However, OpenAI and Broadcom now plan to design their own chips for internal use next year. Broadcom, earlier this week, referred to a mystery new customer committing to $ 10 billion in orders, and it appears that this customer is OpenAI. Now they aren't the only ones developing their own chips; other major Nvidia customers, such as Meta, Google, and Amazon, are doing the same. So while this is good news for companies like Broadcom, it could be bad news for Nvidia, which will likely lose market share due to this. It seems like the strict monetary policy of the Fed is finally affecting the broader economy, and the most recent report is also not great. Quote: "The August jobs report released Friday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) showed there were just 22,000 new jobs added to the economy last month, far fewer than forecast and the latest sign that the US labor market has cooled in recent months. The unemployment rate rose to 4.3% last month. Economists had expected the report to show 75,000 jobs were created in August with the unemployment rate forecast to rise to 4.3%, according to data from Bloomberg." Over the last three months, we have seen job growth average just 10,000 per month, which is absolutely nothing. Now, even though unemployment is still low at the moment, and it could stay low due to a graying and even shrinking population, this could still affect economic growth. If the main problem is new workers due to, for example, Trump's immigration policy, it could hamper the economy. But regardless of that, all of this is a bad sign. Consider coins like USDC, USDT, Dai, PayPal USD, and others; all of these have billions of value locked in them. Now the EU wants to do something about this; the solution is promoting Euro stablecoins and also launching its own in 2029. However, many lawmakers criticize the idea, with the most significant issues being privacy, connectivity, and commercial banks. Now the first two were "solved" when it was made clear that the central bank will not know anything about the payer and the payee, and that an offline solution for the digital currency will be as good as cash in terms of preserving the privacy of the people. However, still, many are concerned with the impact it could have on commercial banks, because obviously, many would choose to go with the central bank. So clearly, it could take a while before the central bank coin is released, and I am not sure if they can solve these issues in time.
