Markets to open lower again today. Bonds are also sliding after recent news, and yes — my portfolio will be down too. But what does that really mean? Drawdowns are a normal part of investing. I’ve seen them before — during COVID, in the 2022 volatility — and I’ll continue to navigate through them. This month, I’ll take steps to minimize the impact through rebalancing and hedging. No panic selling. No emotional decisions. If you’re new to investing, this is one of those moments that tests your strategy and your mindset. It’s not easy. But it’s also a valuable experience. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹. 𝗦𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. During drawdowns, the right thing to do is pause, observe, analyze, and update your approach. Don’t let fear or social media noise shake your foundation. Build your portfolio with anti-fragility in mind. Make smart, intentional choices — and over time, they’ll compound in your favor. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴. This is part of the journey.
