The Venezuelan crude oil reserves are difficult to refine and there is no infrastructure in place. π€·ββοΈ
It would take years and heavy investments to raise production significantly. π
Together with the massive insecurities and the low price for oil at the moment (which would drop even lower with more production) this means there is little incentive for US- (or other) Companies to invest such sums in such an unstable region at the moment. π

I'm no expert but I don't agree with what you say. And at the very least it can't have a negative effect on the 2 main u.s. oil companies already associated with Venezuela.
