We just had $GOOGL (Alphabet Inc Class A) earnings, so here is a quick summary:
Revenue: $96.4B vs EST $93.9B (up 14% YoY) ✅
EPS: $2.31 vs EST $2.16 (up 22% YoY) ✅
We all know that the narrative is that AI is killing search, so lets take a look at that segment 🔍.
𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝟭𝟭.𝟳% YoY and 6.8% QoQ. So while the narrative is overly pessimistic the numbers show a strong business.
Also 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝟯𝟭% YoY, and earnings more than doubled from $1.1Bn to $2.8Bn.
Overall a great performance, super healthy search growth and incredible cloud growth.
The market seems to have reacted well, with the stock up about 1.6% after hours.
