💲💲💲💲 ALWAYS STICK TO THE STRATEGY 💲💲💲💲 2023 year update Dear copiers and followers, Merry Christmas and happy new year. December turned out to be another very nice month, both for us and the market. We ended the month with a gain of about 6,56% and thereby being our 3rd best month of the year. We ended up beating all 3 major indexes but underperformed Russel 2000 by a wide margin. When we compare our return for December to the major US indexes, we overperformed the market: NASDAQ: 5,51%, SP500 4,42%, DJI 4,84% and Russel 2000 12,07% (by far the best month for Russel this year). The primary benchmark is the S&P500 and Russel 2000 the secondary as we have a lot of smaller stocks in our portfolio. With that in mind, we well as we overperformed the SP500 by 2,14% but were lagging Russel 2000 by 5,51%. Full 2023: When we compare our numbers for the whole year, we ended up doing well compared to 3 of the 4 indexes, with NASDAQ still way ahead of us: NASDAQ: 53,81%, SP500 24,23%, DJI 13,7% and Russel 15,04%. At the same time, we are at 26,09%. While we are still way ahead of DOW and Russel, we ended 1,85% better performance than S&P and way behind NASDAQ – lagging it 27%. When we look at the bigger picture over the last few years, we see that Dow Jones is now about 3% over the top in November 2021, NASDAQ a tiny bit over the top from November 2023, SP500 still a little bit behind it’s top, and Russel 2000 still more than 10% from the top. We ended very near our top, as we made a new top on December 27th. We are much higher than at any point in 2022, beating our top from previous years with about 13%. That is something we can be really thrilled about. While we also had a rough 2022 year, we have quickly surpassed it by a wide margin, and we have hope for a lot more good times to come. We believe in our strategy and that it will continue to produce great results. Sure, there will be difficult times, but we stand our ground and stick to our strategy, and this will help us overperformed the major indexes over time.
