May Portfolio Update Last week the portfolio gained 6.13%, finishing the month up 10.08% and bringing our year-to-date performance back into positive territory at +2.15%. By comparison, $SPX500 $SPY (State Street SPDR S&P 500 ETF) gained 1.43% over the week, 5.15% during May, and now sits at +10.73% YTD. It's been a strong recovery, but I think it's still too early to celebrate. There are several factors that could keep volatility elevated this year, including ongoing tensions in the Middle East, inflation concerns, the upcoming US elections, and a busy IPO calendar, including SpaceX this month. I didn't make any changes to the portfolio last week. However, following the recent rally, I'm monitoring several positions that are approaching levels I consider fully valued and may look to trim or close if the risk-reward profile becomes less attractive. Looking ahead, $AVGO (Broadcom Inc) reports earnings on Wednesday, while Friday brings the latest Non-Farm Payrolls report, both of which could influence market sentiment.
