Tax credits aren't the only thing tesla gets, they got overpriced government contracts by the hundreds, the few Boring company projects are such, Boring company is multiple times more expensive than European or Chinese contractors even in cities with literally thousands of years worth of artifacts, and is more expensive than their few US competitors.

And cheaper models are worth no shit if they are never delivered because they are nothing more than another failed promise (or in its maidenhood name: fraud).
