You can check out my post about that event here: tinyurl.com/2burect7 Hereโ€™s the first of what will be more frequent monthly updates. ๐™†๐™š๐™ฎ ๐™ˆ๐™š๐™ฉ๐™ง๐™ž๐™˜๐™จ October Portfolio Performance: +3.93% October S&P 500 Performance: +2.44% October Nasdaq 100 Performance: +4.89% Number of Trades: 27 Assets Under Copy: $46M Copiers: 9981 Copier Profitability: 95% Full BullAware Factsheet: bullaware.com/etoro/jaynemesis ๐™‹๐™ค๐™จ๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ ๐˜พ๐™๐™–๐™ฃ๐™œ๐™š๐™จ โ€ข I closed my small Duo Lingo position before their earnings, which proved to be a good decision as the stock fell more than 30% lower since closing. I closed another small position in Monday which has also had poor performance over the past year, and fell 10% further since I closed it. I also closed most of my Salesforce position, and will be closing the remainder this week due to poor performance. I trimmed my Eaton BYD and Rockwool positions slightly, and will be cycling my Rockwool positions soon due to the recent drop. I still like the company at this valuation. I cycled a few legacy trades to avoid desync risks in Next Era Energy and Microsoft โ€ข I added slightly to my relatively new First Solar position and added a new TAN ETF position as my confidence of a solar rebound grows. Finally, I added eToro to my portfolio. I was assured by Yoni at the PI summit that I could discuss the company provided I give clear disclaimers about my affiliation with them, so Iโ€™ll maybe write a post about it soon. Just to cover myself here though: (Iโ€™ll probably need to write a better one when I talk about them more). I conducted a lot of clean-up trades this month. Closing out positions that had become too small to be copied by many copiers and re-opened with larger position sizes. This unfortunately means we lose a little money to spread fees, but itโ€™s necessary sometimes to ensure the portfolio stays synchronized well with new and existing copiers. The impact of the fees is negligible overall. Markets were generally quite bullish for the month despite the US government shutdown. Not much has happened politically besides the Gaza ceasefire at the start of the month and the back and forth on China tariffs, but as the phrase goes โ€œno news is good newsโ€. ๐‘ฎ๐’“๐’๐’˜๐’•๐’‰ Despite growing concerns of an AI bubble, stocks in the sector performed well overall, led by AMD who were the best performer in the S&P500, up 59% after announcing a deal with OpenAI. Ubiquiti was up 19% after the FCC made regulations for various wireless equipment stricter, benefitting them and harming some competitors. Crowdstrike continued itโ€™s gradual share price ascent to a new all-time high, up 11% in October and over 169% since the low following the global blackout in 2024. The Solar industry looks to have finally hit the floor of itโ€™s steady decline through the past 3 years and has shown signs of growth for a few months now. First Solar - the company I selected for exposure to the rebound was among the top 10 best performers of the S&P500, up 20%. I plan on writing a longer post about the solar industry again soon. I have some growing concerns over the strength of the US consumer, many consumer discretionary companies have slowed down a bit recently, we donโ€™t have clear numbers for US jobs data any more, and it seems tariffs have started seeping through contributing to inflation. This could be a contributing factor to Spotify and Garmin, both of whom have seen weaker margins and paired growth outlook in recent months. The talk of a $2000 US stimulus dividend may help in the short-term, but Iโ€™m watching the situation cautiously. ๐‘ฏ๐’Š๐’Ž๐’” & ๐‘ฏ๐’†๐’“๐’” ๐‘ฝ๐’๐’๐’‚๐’•๐’Š๐’๐’Š๐’•๐’š Finally I wanted to address Hims & Hers, this company was leading the markets with growth earlier this year, but their big hit product in weight loss treatment faced some challenges. The company was down 18% in October, but I still really like the business direction, so will hold through these challenges. Let me know what you like/dislike about the format and Iโ€™ll take onboard your feedback. As usual, thanks for reading, following, and copying.
