Dear Investors, I hope this finds you well. The portfolio is moving along nicely—up nearly 1% today—with tech stocks continuing their upward momentum after a shaky start to the month. The early volatility was largely driven by concerns over capex spending and the circular investment patterns among some of the largest tech companies. It’s an issue I read about a while back, so it’s not something I’m overly worried about. What we do need to keep an eye on is whether the tech names we hold begin to generate meaningful returns on their huge investments and whether their core businesses continue to show solid growth. Now for last month's monthly round-up… 📅 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙡𝙮 𝙪𝙥𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚: October 𝘾𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙨: 📈 October Return: 4.59% 📈 Year-to-Date (YTD) Return: 22.28% 📊 Copiers' Profitability: 97.69% 📈 3 Year Return: 201.35% (Correct at time of writing) 𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙛𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙤 𝙪𝙥𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚: The portfolio performed well last month. Even with cash reserves and bonds keeping the risk level at 3, we still outperformed the $SPX500 , which returned 2.27%, while our portfolio gained 4.59%. The strong performance was driven primarily by $AMZN (Amazon.com Inc) earnings results, which showed growth across all business segments and led to a sharp rise in the share price. $GOOG (Alphabet) delivered a similar story, reporting solid earnings the day before and contributing further to the portfolio’s gains. I also reduced our position in Micron Technology after substantial gains this year. I believe the stock has now moved into overvalued territory, so I began trimming the holding in October and fully exited the position this month, locking in profits and reallocating capital to diversify further away from tech. In addition, the UK budget will be announced today. While the impact on the portfolio should be limited given we hold only one UK-listed stock, it may still influence Barratt to some extent.
