For instance, earnings out from a company similar to the company Second worst performing stock this week: $RIG (Transocean LTD) Fell by 9.98%, underperforming the S&P 500's 1.42% rise by 11.41% I bought RIG Monday and Tuesday so I lost less than the stock was down for the week.
