Oracle’s latest earnings fell short of analyst expectations, yet its stock surged 30%, briefly making founder Larry Ellison the world’s richest man. The jump came after Oracle revealed its “Remaining Performance Obligations” (RPO) had soared from $100 billion to $450 billion, largely due to a $300 billion cloud deal with OpenAI. Under this deal, OpenAI will pay Oracle for cloud computing over five years, and Oracle will buy GPUs from Nvidia to build data centers. Nvidia itself invested $100 billion in OpenAI, creating a closed loop of funds circulating through Nvidia → OpenAI → Oracle → Nvidia. This loop is not a sign of a bubble by itself, as there is currently strong real demand for computation power. However, since there is a lag between infrastructure build and usage, whether this is smart strategic integration or an emerging AI bubble depends on whether future AI innovations can generate real, sustainable profits to justify the massive capital flow. $ORCL (Oracle Corporation) $NVDA (NVIDIA Corporation) $NSDQ100 $SPX500 youtu.be/Bh7lyo1qVWk
