πŸ’  Mid-week summary CW 30 πŸ’  Hello to my copiers, followers and all eTorians πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Here is my mid-week summary of CW 30: πŸ‡πŸ‡° πŸ—“οΈ Mon The most important Asian stock markets mostly ended trading with negative signs. The worsening trade tensions between China and the USA and the increasing concern about China's growth prospects had a negative impact, traders said. In addition, the uncertainty about the outcome of the upcoming presidential elections in the USA has affected market sentiment. Not so for the HKG50, which rose by +1.25%. Portfolio top gainer: 0700.HK Tencent +2.47%. πŸ—“οΈ Tue The most important Asian SE only partially recovered from the previous day's losses on Tue. One exception were the Chinese stock markets, which fell. The changes were mostly manageable. The HKG50 fell by -0.94%. The only portfolio gainer: 3988.HK Bank of China +1.17%. πŸ—“οΈ Wed The Asian SE went down on Wed. In China, the Shanghai Composite fell by -0.50%. The HKG50 lost -0.90%. No gainers this time. πŸ˜” πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ πŸ—“οΈ Mon The European stock market closed significantly stronger on Mon. The EUSTX50 rose by +1.45%. The UK100 rose by +0.53%. At the start of the week, the focus was on the new developments in the US presidential election campaign. In Europe, the banking sector made strong gains. Tech stocks were also in high demand. All our UK stocks were in the green with portfolio topgainer: BATS.L +1.13%. πŸ—“οΈ Tue The most important European SE closed on Tue without a clear direction. The EUSTX50 ended the day with a gain of +0.40%. Wheras the UK100 lost -0.40%. Economic data did not play a major role in trading on Tue. The beginning of the quarterly reporting season, however, caused major price fluctuations in individual stocks. Our only portfolio gainer UK was BEZ.L Beazley plc with +1.93%. πŸ—“οΈ Wed Europe's most important SE closed trading on Wed with clear losses. In addition to a wealth of results, the focus was on purchasing managers' indices from the Eurozone. The EUSTX50 lost -1.10%. The UK100 lost a moderate -0.20%. No gainers this time. πŸ˜” πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ πŸ—“οΈ Mon The Frankfurt SE rose on Mon. Support came from the US SE. Investors on the other side of the Atlantic seem to be relieved by Joe Biden's decision not to run for president again - or at least not to be put off. The DAX, which had recorded a weekly loss of -3.00% on Fri, made up significant ground on Mon, up +1.29%. Our GER40 asset RWE.DE increased by +0.70%.😁 πŸ—“οΈ Tue The brilliant run of $SAP (SAP SE ADR) shares also drove the German stock market forward on Tue. The DAX, in which SAP is by far the most heavily weighted share, rose by +0.80%. SAP shares (not in the portfolioπŸ₯΄) gained +7.20% after the figures were announced. Our DAX shares RWE.DE declined slightly by -0.05%. πŸ—“οΈ Wed A disappointing quarterly report from Deutsche Bank and weak economic data weighed on prices on the German stock market on Wed. After two strong trading days, the DAX turned downward again, losing -0.90%. Our GER40 share RWE.DE increased by  +0.74%. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡² πŸ—“οΈ Mon The US stock markets all closed with gains on Mon. Investors were focused on the withdrawal of incumbent US President Joe Biden from the race for the 2024 presidential candidacy. The DJ30 closed +0.23% higher. The $SPX500 recorded a gain of +0.93%. The most significant gains were seen in tech stocks, with the $NSDQ100 closing +1.31% higher. Our top gainers US shares: NVDA +4.63% and our recent purchase SCHW Charles Schwarz Corp +4.32%. Top ETF: TQQQ +4.26%.😁 πŸ—“οΈ Tue There was hardly any movement on the US SE on Tue. The DJ30 closed down -0.14%. The NSDQ100 also fell by -0.08%, SPX500 by -0.05%. There were no trend-setting economic data on Tue. In addition, many investors were likely to have waited for the figures from Alphabet and Tesla, which were announced after the stock market closed. Our top gainer US shares: ASO +0.29%, top gainer ETFs: GLD +0.20%. πŸ—“οΈ Wed πŸ”»The New York stock markets continued their recent correction on Wed. Disappointing figures from Tesla and Alphabet apparently prompted investors to revise their expectations for the coming quarterly results. This particularly affected the tech-heavy NSDQ100, which slumped -3.84%. The DJ30 lost a comparatively small -1.12%, SPX500 fell by -2.36%.πŸ”» No gainers in US shares πŸ˜”, top gainer ETFs: XLU +1.12%. πŸͺ™ Our Crypto Assets daily (at 10 pm CET): πŸ—“οΈ Mon Not much support for the portfolio from our cryptos on Mon: $BTC +0.46%, $ETH -0.26% and SOL -0.09%. πŸ—“οΈ Tue Moderate downside of BTC -3.70% and ETH -0.56% on Tue. Top loser was SOL with a -5.46%. πŸ—“οΈ Wed The southward movement continued: BTC -0.08% and ETH -3.23%, except for SOL with a nice +2.75%. Have a safe remaining week and stay invested! πŸ˜ƒ Marc πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ ________________________________________ ❗DISCLAIMER❗ My information, reports and updates do NOT constitute investment advice!
