𝙂𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙎𝙝𝙪𝙩𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣? The U.S. government has shut down after Congress failed to pass a budget — meaning many services close while essentials continue. This is far from unprecedented, occurring three times during Trump's first term with one lasting 35 days. In most cases the markets have ended shutdowns higher. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘵: the September jobs report is delayed, leaving the Fed flying blind on labor data and raising volatility risks. This may cause uncertainty and potentially volatility, especially if other important data releases are delayed. 🔹️𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙛𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙤 Up 6.5% in September, outperforming the S&P 500. Top performers included $LLY (Eli Lilly & Co) , lifted by strong demand, optimism over its weight-loss drugs, and Trump’s deal with Pfizer; $CRH.L (CRH plc) , gaining after its Investor Day growth plan; and $AVAV (AeroVironment Inc.) , which surged on a $499M U.S. Air Force contract. Our gold, silver and $BTC hedges also continued to perform as investors sought safety amid market uncertainty.
