The stock price is down significantly: - year to date: 18% down ๐Ÿ“‰ - 1 year ago: 30% down ๐Ÿ“‰ - from its peak (1000eur): 43% down ๐Ÿ“‰ - from 5 years ago: 111% up! โœ… Yes, the price is much more attractive now compared to a year ago, but that alone isnโ€™t a reason to invest. What we should invest right now is our time: time to analyze the business, understand the fundamentals, and prepare for the right opportunities. After reading the Q1 2025 report, itโ€™s clear that management is maintaining a cautious outlook, anticipating continued uncertainty and market volatility in the near term. However the business outlook looks solid with sales expected to be between 7,2 and 7,7bn Eur in the second quarter. So we have an external pressure on the stock price - good for us, value investors! In Q1, the company bought back shares worth โ‚ฌ2.7 billion as part of its current program, and I expect the buybacks to continue at these price levels. The dividend was also raised by 4.9% compared to last year. Over the last 5 years, the company has shown strong growth, revenue grew by 20.6% and diluted EPS by 28.8% annually. This performance drove the stock price up, but also raised investor expectations, with the PE ratio reaching 50. (currently at around 25). ๐Œ๐ฒ ๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐š๐œ๐ก I expect high volatility to continue until the situation with tariffs becomes clearer. Considering the current price and the companyโ€™s strong position in the market, I believe itโ€™s worth investing a smaller position in my portfolio. The industry is cyclical, so this downtrend might last a bit longer. But as we all know, itโ€™s nearly impossible to catch the exact bottom At the current price, Iโ€™m considering a small investment โ€” less than 2% of my portfolio.
