According to Goldman Sachs, the sell-off was largely driven by hedge funds reducing leveraged positions. When forced selling happens, the biggest winners are often sold first. That's why even companies reporting excellent earnings were dragged lower. There are also reports that ๐‹๐ž๐จ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฅ๐ ๐€๐ฌ๐œ๐ก๐ž๐ง๐›๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ง๐ž๐ซ was forced to liquidate a large part of his positions. If confirmed, it would once again show how quickly sentiment can change in the market. Just a few weeks ago, people were celebrating returns of several hundred percent. Today, the discussion is about forced selling. That's exactly why I'm always cautious when I see spectacular short-term success stories. Morgan Stanley continues to view the long-term fundamentals as strong. Lower corporate AI spending, cheaper AI models, or infrastructure bottlenecks do not change their long-term investment thesis. ๐Ÿ™ ๐€ ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ๐ž The past few weeks and months have ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐๐ž๐ฅ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฅ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐ˆ ๐ฐ๐š๐ฌ ๐š๐ข๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ. In my view, that's simply part of investing. Anyone trying to outperform the market over the long run must also be willing to accept periods where performance temporarily falls behind. Consistent outperformance without setbacks is something I rarely see in real markets. I'd also like to sincerely thank everyone who has stayed with the portfolio despite this challenging period. Your trust means a lot to me. Yet in everyday life we do exactly the opposite. Whether it's clothes, cars, or electronics, we usually wait for discounts before buying.
