Instead of writing some flashy post to get eyes, Iโ€™m just going to copy my answers to him below. ๐–๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ˆ ๐ฌ๐š๐ข๐ ๐ฐ๐š๐ฌ: The thing is, after this week I genuinely do think it [the markets] will start to pull back up. Reason being that nothing catastrophic is happening in the markets in general. All the big tech companies have smashed earnings and expectations and thereโ€™s no global issue. $TSM (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co Ltd - ADR) , $GOOG (Alphabet) , Microsoft and $AAPL (Apple) are soaring business-wise and are showing positive future outlooks. Also, AI is paying off and they're all doubling down on it which leads me to believe this is just a hiccup and not a cataclysmic drop. ๐‚๐จ๐ฉ๐ข๐ž๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ง ๐š๐ฌ๐ค๐ž๐: What you think is driving it? ๐Œ๐ž: Institutional investors simply locking profits. Taking cash off the table while itโ€™s there to be had, then they'll buy back in. I think things would be way different if all the big guys [companies] missed expectations, but that's not the case. ๐‚๐จ๐ฉ๐ข๐ž๐ซ: Nothing in the states around elections not driving any of it? ๐Œ๐ž: I personally don't think so. If anything the upcoming rate cuts are great for all stocks since lending will get cheaper and they can afford to borrow cash from banks to grow. I was more worried that the Fed were not going to cut rates until after the election so that their decision didn't seem politically motivated to do so. That would've also been disastrous. ๐Ÿ‘‰ So there you have it folks. Those are my unfiltered thoughts in a nutshell! ๐Ÿšจ๐๐จ๐ญ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐š๐ฅ ๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฆ๐ฒ ๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ฌ: โŒ ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ค๐ž๐ญ ๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐  - rebounding markets can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. Iโ€™m still very happy with where itโ€™s at. Yes, weโ€™re seeing red days, but nothing compared to $SPY or $QQQ . At the time of writing, theyโ€™re down a whopping -2.35% and -2.65%, whereas my portfolio is down โ€œjustโ€ 1.69%. ๐ŸŒŠ This means that my portfolio is by and large well placed to weather stormy seas. The reason for my portfolioโ€™s drop today is largely due to $NU (Nu Holdings Ltd.) ๐ญ๐š๐ค๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š๐ง ๐š๐›๐ฌ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ž ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐ค ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐š ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ž, pulling my portfolio with it. ๐Ÿ“ˆ However, I have immense faith in NU and am looking forward to their upcoming earnings report on the 13th of August. ๐Ÿ‘€ What I specifically want to see is how many users theyโ€™ve managed to acquire throughout Mexico and Colombia.
