We started the month with concerns about the AI bubble bursting, which led to a sharp pullback. I bought into several positions during the sell-off, as I felt the overall sentiment regarding the AI trade was overly bearish. As mentioned in my last post, the earnings posted by most big tech companies weren't actually bad; if anything, recent results from Micron suggest that the AI semiconductor trade is still going strong. However, I must note that we might see some slowdown in the upcoming quarters, which could potentially derail the bull market again. For now, I still expect the market to continue grinding higher leading up to the next earnings season. π™‹π™€π™§π™©π™›π™€π™‘π™žπ™€ π™ˆπ™€π™«π™šπ™¨ This month, I added to a few existing positions and took profits on portions of my ASML and Samsung holdings, both of which performed very well. I am still primarily adding to $ASML (ASML Holding NV) small-cap names, as they have sold off quite a bit and offer a good opportunity for 1x-2x returns with relatively low risk. I am also slowly building up my $AMD (Advanced Micro Devices Inc) position and starting a short position in certain semiconductor names as a hedge against the AI trade. I believe we might see another all-time high in January before the earnings season begins. π™π™žπ™£π™–π™‘ 𝙏𝙝𝙀π™ͺπ™œπ™π™©π™¨ After a shaky start to the month, the market managed to close almost exactly where it opened. Economic data is coming in surprisingly better than expected, and I think as long as the Fed remains in a dovish mode, the market will continue to trend higher for the next 1-2 quarters. Technically, I still believe the SPX500 is heading towards the 7200-7400 range, so my portfolio remains bullish until then. Thanks for reading! Happy to answer any questions below.
