Yesterday, as expected, the ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฐ๐๐ ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ฏ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ผ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฌ.๐ฎ๐ฑ%, which is the third rate cut of the year.
Because it was expected, it didn't move the markets much; also the guidance of only one rate cut in 2026 is not very promising.
However, I don't think the forecasts on the number of rate cuts are very reliable, so we may have more cuts, especially because ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ'๐ ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ๐ถ๐ฟ ๐๐ถ๐น๐น ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ป ๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ and the next person appointed may be more inclined to listen to Trump's wishes.
Next Thursday 18/12, we'll have the ๐จ๐ฆ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ก๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ; it increasingly seems that the Fed is moving away from their target of 2% inflation, but it's still a good metric to watch!
The markets are showing a lot of sensitivity to data points around the AI race, and today one of the victims is Oracle $ORCL (Oracle Corporation) losing 15% on disappointing earnings.
๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ธ ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ด๐ถ๐น๐ฒ, and cryptos are often suffering from this kind of event, so it's not today that we'll see $BTC cross 100k again.
That being said, the rate cuts and an overall inflationary environment should eventually play in favour of all assets (if the underlying denominator is losing value) but it may take a while, and the rising tide will not lift all boats...

The portfolio is declining slightly in Q4 (less than 1% per month so far) but I am satisfied with the current asset allocation (not overly exposed to AI anch tech companies I reckon) so ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ด๐ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ ๐๐ป๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฒ๐ฑ.
