𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻'𝘁 𝗺𝘆 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝘆𝗲𝘁?!?! I hear you. Let's compare the past though. It's been 500 days since the last BTC halving. Although Bitcoin dominance has been dropping, we haven't really seen the incredible altcoin performances yet. I think many people are wondering when we may see those historically fantastic and euphoric movements in altcoins. 📌 2016 cycle: 500 days post 2016 Bitcoin halving was November 21st 2017. As you can see, TOTAL3 had been moving up but at this point we hadn't witnessed the "Blow-off top". Total3 then gained about 500% in 42 days time from where we are right now in the cycle. The market cap was miniscule back then compared to what it is now, and a 500% rise from today would be 6.06 trillion dollars. I don't believe we will see 5 trillion dollars injected into crypto within 42 days, let's be real. Still, looking at the past demonstrates that enormous movements can happen in a short space of time. 📌 2020 cycle: 500 days post 2020 Bitcoin halving was September 23rd 2021. There was still 49 days until the top and a 43% rise. This is an indice of altcoins so it meant that from the 500 day mark to the 549 day mark, some coins may have not moved much but some will have doubled or more. Don't forget 2021 was a special time, with seriously unprecedented quantitive easing, and so I believe a lot of money frontran the alt season a bit earlier. 👉 With only two full historical post-halving periods to reference, the sample size is small. But both point to the same thing: the window after the 500-day mark has historically been where altcoins unleashed their biggest moves. 🔁 This doesn’t mean history will repeat exactly, but it does suggest the next phase could still deliver significant upside for altcoins. 🤔 Has the uncertainty around interest rate cuts in the USA been holding altcoins back? I think so, and as we get more certainty about incoming interest rate cuts, I believe we will begin to rally hard soon. Do we see a huge rally within 40 to 49 days like in the past?
