π Scaling Up My QQQ Position - Betting on Tech's Future
Today I'm increasing my QQQ (Invesco Nasdaq 100 ETF) position from $10.53 to ~$63.
Why QQQ?
β Tracks the top 100 Nasdaq companies (Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Meta, NVIDIA, Tesla)
β Average annual return: ~19%
β 1-year performance: +23.69%
β Technical indicators: STRONG BUY (9/9 bullish signals)
β Up 4.47% in the last month alone
Why now?
- Market showing strength after recent consolidation
- Tech sector leading the recovery
- All technical indicators flashing green
- Current price: ~$604 (near recent highs but momentum strong)
My Strategy:
This is a long-term hold (3+ years). I'm not trying to time the perfect entryβI'm building a position in quality assets. QQQ gives me diversified exposure to the best tech companies without picking individual stocks.
Risk Management:
- No stop-loss (this is a buy-and-hold position)
- Will tolerate 10-20% drawdowns as normal market cycles
- Only selling if fundamentals change (unlikely for top 100 Nasdaq companies)
Target allocation: 15% of portfolio (~$63)
