Can you think of anyone who has never been to McDonald's? I couldn't find a single person in my circle who hasn't visited one of their restaurants at least once. That's hardly surprising, considering McDonald's is the world's largest restaurant chain by revenue and market capitalization. New locations continue to appear. Over the past few months, several new restaurants have opened along routes that I regularly travel. Even I occasionally get tempted by their ice cream, who doesn't :) ?! My first visit was sometime around 1995, when McDonald's opened its first restaurant in my country. From an investor's perspective, I find the stock's price development particularly interesting. If you enjoy looking for patterns in stock charts, take a look at the visual. McDonald's serves approximately 65 million customers every day across more than 40,000 restaurants in over 100 countries. Just imagine the amount of data the company collects and how much it can learn about customer behavior. And when you can measure something, you can influence it. Since the introduction of self-service kiosks, the average order value has increased. Customers no longer have to stand in long lines, feel less pressure when ordering, and often end up adding extra items before finalizing their purchase. That makes perfect sense to me. Of course, some people argue that consumers will increasingly prefer healthier food options in the future. However, if that trend continues, wouldn't it be relatively easy for McDonald's to adapt its menu accordingly? The company has already demonstrated its ability to respond to changing consumer preferences. Some sources also suggest that rising prices are reducing consumers' purchasing power. McDonald's has responded by expanding its value menu offerings and increasing the availability of chicken-based products, which are generally more affordable than beef. The company has highlighted several key growth drivers that investors should watch: • Executing the fastest expansion phase in its history, with a goal of reaching up to 50,000 locations worldwide by the end of 2027. • Deploying AI-powered drive-thru technology and automation to improve service speed and reduce operating costs for franchisees. • Rapidly growing its loyalty ecosystem, with a target of reaching 250 million active loyalty program members by the end of 2027. • Attracting customers through McValue offerings and premium beverages via an enhanced McCafé experience. The final point is particularly interesting, as it positions McDonald's to compete more directly with established coffeehouse chains. By combining aggressive global expansion, AI-driven operational improvements, and a value-focused menu strategy, the company continues to strengthen its competitive position. The next time you're at McDonalds, think of this article :) ! Greetings Dodulik. $MCD (McDonald's)
