End of March 2022 Update (total holding +/- shown in brackets) After almost breaking even by the end of February (-0.7%), the portfolio has again finished the month almost flat (-0.9%). Some profitable positions have been closed to make cash available (9%) for any opportunities in the near future. Transportation airline $EZJ.L (easyJet) (-30%) has dropped another 5% in March, whereas $IAG.L (International Consolidated Airlines) (-9%) has lost almost 3%. Combined, these two stocks make up 6% of the portfolio. Minerals have seen gains in March across the board. $RIO.L (Rio Tinto) (+30%), $BHP (BHP Group Ltd ADR) (+41%), and $B (Barrick Mining Corp) (+30%) have all increased by more than 10% since the last update. The Health Technology winner this month is $GSK.L (GlaxoSmithKline) (+7%). $ILMN (Illumina) (-14%) has recovered by around 6% since the last update. The small position (0.3%) in $SN.L (Smith & Nephew) (-3.6%) has lost around 5% since the February update. Electronic Technology in March has seen $INTC (Intel) (+0.3%) finally gain a positive position. $AAPL (Apple) (+123%) has gained 5%. Technology Services laggard $PYPL (PayPal Holdings) (-32%) has recovered since February, alongside $GOOG (Alphabet) (+84%) with near 10% gains each, with $CRWD (Crowdstrike Holdings) (+76%) growing by more than 30%. Consumer Durables has had a mixed month. Electric car maker $TSLA (Tesla Motors, Inc.) (+1%) has moved positively by over 23%, whereas $NIO (Nio Inc.-ADR) (-44%) and $LCID (Lucid Group Inc) (-10%) have both lost more than 10% in March. April will proceed with various commodity supply concerns across all sectors amidst the ongoing war.
