📢 Portfolio update Today has been a tough day for the portfolio, even with nearly 28% in cash and safe bonds. The main story was $FISV (Fiserv Inc) , which fell around -40% after posting weak results and cutting its 2025 guidance. The downgrade in expectations was only about 15–20% — significant, yes, but nowhere near enough to justify a 40% drop. It’s been an overreaction. Sometimes this happens: market moves don’t reflect the real magnitude of the news, but rather market psychology. I’ve adjusted the target price to reflect the new guidance, but even with those updated numbers, the recovery potential remains huge. That’s why I’ve decided to slightly increase my exposure, from 4% to 5% of the portfolio. When the market overreacts, the best opportunities often appear. And it wasn’t just Fiserv today: Adobe, ICLR and KHC also fell around -5%, and UNH and PayPal dropped about -3.5%, despite delivering exceptional results and, in UNH’s case, even raising guidance for 2025. Sometimes the market punishes without reason, or simply due to money rotating into “hot” sectors. This is a reminder that investing is not a straight path. “Safety” doesn’t deliver great returns: those seeking zero volatility can leave their money in the bank at 2% a year. But those who truly want to grow must accept days like this. Because what matters isn’t what happens in a single day, but the long-term direction. And despite today’s hit, this remains a great year, well ahead of both the Nasdaq and the S&P 500. In my view, the market is extremely overheated: everything AI-related is still overvalued, while companies with real profits, strong cash flow and reasonable valuations are being ignored or even punished. The time for rotation into real value will come, and when it does, those who’ve stayed calm and managed risk well will be in position to take advantage of it. I don’t know if it’ll happen this quarter or the next, but I’m convinced that 2026 will be a year full of major opportunities. And one last important note: if you can’t tolerate a 3% drop in a single day, investing isn’t for you. Declines are simply the price you pay for long-term gains. — I’m Luis Iñigo, an AI developer and investor with over five years of experience.
