Hello everyone! I hope you're all safe, healthy, and enjoying the summer with your loved ones. I also hope everyone in the affected regions is staying safe as the conflict has intensified once again. As for the portfolio, it has been a very rewarding year so far. According to eToro statistics, 89% of my copiers are currently in profit, which I'm very happy to see. Recently, I closed a few positions in airline stocks, including easyJet, American Airlines, and Lufthansa. There is nothing fundamentally wrong with these companies—I simply decided to lock in some gains after their strong performance. If valuations become more attractive again, I may consider rebuilding those positions. With the available cash, I'm looking for new investment opportunities. Let's see what the market offers in the coming months. Towards the end of the summer, I'm planning to visit some friends in the US and the Cayman Islands. I always enjoy these trips because many of them invest as well. Exchanging ideas, discussing different perspectives, and learning how others think about investing often gives me valuable inspiration. A good example is my cousin, who lives in Louisiana. When I attended his wedding in 2024, he introduced me to Venture Global (VG). At the time, the company wasn't even publicly traded. Another friend, who now lives in the Cayman Islands, develops apartment buildings and hotels. I still remember him speaking very highly of Modine Manufacturing, one of their suppliers, while we were fishing together in the spring of 2023. I never ended up investing in the company, but it's a great example of how conversations with people from different industries can broaden your perspective and sometimes lead you to investment ideas you might never have discovered on your own.
