The $SPX500 has an average drawdown of -12% and if you remove the large outliers it’s in the -2% to -10% range 90 days after Fed Chair confirmation. 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐲 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫? I think at this stage it’s the opposite: markets already dropped (they could drop further of course) but what do you usually do when your favorite store is « ON SALE »? Do you return your favorite items? Or do you buy as much as possible? I am on the latter camp. I will deposit in two weeks a large amount and buy this dip. I am not planning any portfolio rebalancing at this stage - just planning to buy more!
