A little known but interesting story about googles strugles on its early days: When Larry Page and Sergey Brin were first building their search engine (then called Backrub), they needed a lot of computing power but didn’t have money for expensive servers. Their solution? They built their first server out of cheap, mismatched computer parts housed in a case made from LEGO bricks. It wasn’t just a quirky choice—using LEGO actually made sense. It let them easily reconfigure the structure as they scaled up or swapped out hardware. This scrappy, DIY approach captured the spirit of Google’s early culture: solving big problems with creativity and resourcefulness rather than just throwing money at them. Googles  story of how it came to be what it is now its one of the most interesting stories out there, there is a very popular podcast called "Aquired" in my opinion one of the best business related podcasts currently available, and some of their latest episodes are dedicated to all the interesting details of how google became as succesfull as it is today, if you have a chance to listen to them you're in for a treat.  $GOOGL (Alphabet Inc Class A) $SPX500 $GOOG (Alphabet)
