Dear Copiers, We have had a very good week and In the blue in February, a positive 7.07% - a very good period for Biotech and @BioTechInvestors. $APLS (Apellis Pharmaceuticals Inc.) has been our biggest winner for our portfolio (up 124.49%). $TWST (Twist Bioscience Corporation) is up 61.99% and $FATE (Fate Therapeutics Inc) up 37.28%. Our biggest loss so far has been $BNGO (BioNano Genomics Inc) - whilst risky, I have chosen to hold that position, as it is a small portion of the portfolio. The idea is to spread risk due to the risky nature of this industry. We know there will be big winners and our biggest confidence is in $CRSP (CRISPR Therapeutics AG) to emerge as one of the key players. There will be a number of important collaborators and it will be interesting how Big Pharma responds - I expect buyouts and takeovers. $IBB and $XBI have performed consistently, however Kathie Wood's $ARKG continues to disappoint. As others have pointed out, some of the key factors generating growth in the future (in health technology) include: 1️⃣ Ageing populations 2️⃣ Demand for high-quality healthcare 3️⃣ Influence of technology (gene sequencing/ CRISPR technology) combined with AI in new therapy discovery. The growth opportunity is great provided you can be in front of the trend. If you are thinking of copying, I recommend copying open trades.
