Dear Followers, Dear Copiers, August was a very successful month, with the portfolio gaining over 6%. As always, when markets perform well, it’s important to stay disciplined. In line with my long-term strategy, strong growth is a signal to lock in profits by closing positions that have reached solid gains — and that’s exactly what I focused on this month. The first position I closed was $SONY (Sony Group Corp.-ADR), on August 8th, after the stock delivered a 12%+ gain in under two months. That’s a strong result over a relatively short holding period. Next came Electronic Arts ($EA), where the gain was slightly higher at over 13%, though the position had been open since late last year. While it took more time to develop, I’m still very satisfied with the outcome. At the beginning of the month, I also opened a new position in $AMD (Advanced Micro Devices Inc), one of my most frequently traded stocks. The timing turned out to be excellent — just one week later, I closed the trade with an 11.5% gain. The final position I exited in August was $Goog, which had been in the portfolio since February. Thanks to continued market strength, I was able to close it with a gain of over 12%. Looking ahead, I expect a bit of a cooldown in the markets following the strong rally in August. Some level of price correction is likely and would be welcome, as it could provide new entry points for long positions. At the moment, the portfolio might look a bit unusual, with most open positions currently in the red. But this is not a concern — it’s entirely in line with my strategy. Many of the stronger positions have already been closed in profit, and a significant portion of capital is now available for new opportunities if prices pull back. To all academics and students: I wish you a smooth and successful start to the new academic year. And to everyone else — enjoy the arrival of autumn and the opportunities it may bring. Best regards, Libor Vasa
