𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸: 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝙏𝙇;𝘿𝙍 Markets wobbled on Donald Trump–Greenland headlines, steadied after his Davos walkback, but failed to make new highs. Silver broke $100/oz, pushing the gold–silver ratio below 50:1 for the first time since 2011. 𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙛𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙤 +4.6% 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚 1 𝙅𝙖𝙣𝙪𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙫𝙨 +1.0% 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎&𝙋 500. Markets pulled back on Tuesday after Donald Trump escalated rhetoric around 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙, triggering a brief spike in volatility. That pressure eased on Wednesday after he ruled out military intervention at Davos, though the rebound stalled below prior highs. 𝙎𝙞𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙪𝙩. Prices broke above $100 per ounce for the first time ever, compressing the gold–silver ratio below 50:1. Historically, that level has struggled to hold, raising the odds that gold regains relative strength this year. It has been a tremendous boost to this portfolio amidst the recent volatility but I may trim it a little more to reduce risk. ➕️ This week I added $CBRE (CBRE Group Inc) to the portfolio. Markets have largely looked through it, but the backdrop supports caution. I continue to hold 𝟭𝟰.𝟱% 𝙘𝙖𝙨𝙝, keeping flexibility if volatility returns.
