📊𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 / 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 Dear Copiers & Followers, 📈 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 was an underwhelming month for the major market indices, with the $SPX500 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝟬.𝟵𝟵% 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘀. Similarly, the portfolio also saw a modest decrease, recording a 𝟬.𝟳𝟴% 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘀 driven largely by $CPRI (Capri Holdings Ltd)'s sharp -53% decline following the 𝗙𝗧𝗖'𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗷𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 to pause its previously announced merger with $TPR. This brings the 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗼'𝘀 𝗬𝗧𝗗 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 down to +1.44% (as of November 1st). 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 for us this month included: ◾ $SBSW (Sibanye Stillwater Ltd-ADR) with a +𝟭𝟯.𝟲𝟯% 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 ◾ $CPRI with a -𝟱𝟯.𝟰𝟵% 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗽 As regards specific 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙛𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙤, we: ◾ Took 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝘁 on $TTE (TotalEnergies SE) (+𝟰.𝟬𝟲% 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝘁) ◾ Took 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝘁 on 𝟭/𝟮 of our investment in $ATKR (Atkore Inc.) (+𝟯.𝟭𝟮% 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝘁) ◾ 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 a 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in $NUE (Nucor Corp) (currently -0.32%) ◾ 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 a 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in $TROX (Tronox Holdings PLC) (currently -0.99%) ◾ 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 a 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in $NOMD (Nomad Foods Ltd) (currently -1.23%) ◾ 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 a 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in $ELPC (Companhia Paranaense de Energia - COPEL) (currently -2.14%) ◾ 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 a 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in $CPRI (currently -5.70%) 🔍 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿... ◾ November has gotten off to a shaky start, with the major US indices starting the month off in the red. ◾ In addition to CPI news, 𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗦 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 will undoubtedly influence the market and bring about important volatility, regardless of the winner.
