As a discretionary trader this is where you want to start raising your stop losses and protecting gains. As an algorithmic trader, there's nothing to do other than continue executing my trading system because the market is not the focus, the trading system is. //Trading System The trading system is now in version v8. It hasn't changed fundamentally, I added a risk management measure which resulted in CAGR reducing by 10% and MaxDD by 6%. The system is now more dynamic as it can react to changes in market regime. However, this is still going to be a disappointing year for my portfolio due to my actions, not the trading system. The trading system is up 81% year to date. /Trading Strategies Reversion strategy $QQQ (Invesco QQQ) became active on Wednesday, it caught the lows and it's currently in the money. Commodity strategy $BOIL (ProShares Ultra Bloomberg Natural Gas) is close to an exit in profit, this is likely to happen next week unless things go horribly wrong. Semiconductors strategy $SOXL (Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bull 3X ETF) is back under water. It's historical volatility year to date reached new highs this week so it's no surprise that the open position keeps swinging back and forth. Patience is required.
