One of the reasons I am so keen to hold established, dividend paying stocks with strong track records of maintaining their dividend is for the portfolio protection offered during times like these when uncertainty prevails across the markets. 🛡 May is typically one of the best months of the year for dividends and this year is no different. Again, as mentioned last month, this is higher than my normal monthly contribution, simply because of the scale of discount buying in both March and April - taking maximum advantage of the discounts on offer.
