Q1 2026 earnings season kicks off for our portfolio with Johnson & Johnson, and itโs a solid start.
Results came in slightly above expectations, though without any major surprises.
Revenue grew 9.9% year-over-year to $24.1B (vs. $23.63B expected), while adjusted EPS landed at $2.70, above the $2.66 consensus despite a modest decline.
Performance was driven by strong momentum across both segments:

Digging deeper into Innovative Medicine, growth was led by:

Looking ahead, 2026 guidance has been revised upward for both operational sales and adjusted EPS. Operating income and net income remain stable, reflecting heavier investment in the first half of the year.
Overall, a positive quarter. The business continues to execute as expected, with strong underlying trends in oncology and neuroscience confirming the strength of the investment case, even in a more uncertain macro environment.
That said, current valuation levels donโt justify adding to the position at this stage. The thesis remains intact, but discipline on price matters most.
