etoro Deepens Its Social Investing Experience with New Options Tools

August 12, 2026 – etoro, the trading and investing platform, is extending its social investing tools to options trading, as growing numbers of self-directed investors explore the asset class. The update lets investors discover active options traders, follow real-time trading activity, and move directly from insight to action within etoro options, while making independent decisions based on their own investment objectives and risk tolerance.

etoro’s social investing community already helps millions of users learn from one another by sharing ideas, following experienced investors, and building confidence through collective insight. This update brings that same experience to options, giving investors more ways to discover, learn from, and engage with the options community.

Bret Kenwell, etoro US Investment Analyst, commented: “As investors grow their comfort with new trading strategies, transparency and community become even more valuable. Seeing how others are navigating the market can spark ideas and highlight strategies investors may not have considered. That said, each investor should always evaluate any idea in the light of their own objectives, risk tolerance, and the possibility of loss.”

The enhanced experience helps investors find active options traders based on performance, win rate, popularity, and recent activity, then explore public profiles for deeper detail including historical activity, frequently traded securities, portfolio composition, recent positions, and how many other users have duplicated their trades. A live Options Trading Feed shows public trades across the platform, filterable by sector, so investors can see how the community is positioning around specific industries or broader market themes.

Selecting “Duplicate”* on another investor’s public position opens a trade ticket with the contract details prefilled, so investors can review, modify, and decide whether to place the trade themselves. Users are also alerted when an investor they follow opens or closes a position, adding context without removing individual control over investment decisions.

Kenwell added: “This combines education, market insight, transparency, and community, bringing the collaborative investing experience etoro is known for to a new segment of the market.”

The new social capabilities complement the educational and market intelligence tools already available within etoro options, including daily market commentary from etoro analysts, the Academy learning hub, views of the platform’s most-traded underlying assets, and Daily Movers highlighting notable market activity.

*Duplicated options trade pricing may differ from the original trader’s price due to market fluctuations.
