eToro Wallet Guide

Manage your crypto wallet confidently with full transparency on fees, transaction limits, and supported assets. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about transferring crypto between your eToro crypto wallet and the eToro investment platform or external sources, like dedicated wallets and exchanges.

Preparing your eToro wallet

In order to transfer your crypto to and from crypto-specific wallets, you’ll need to first create a dedicated crypto wallet, which can be viewed and managed from your eToro Wallet tab.

Some crypto wallets can be created using the Create Wallet button in your Wallet tab. If the crypto you wish to transfer is wallet-supported but is not available to create in the Wallet tab, you can create it via transferring a crypto position directly from your eToro investment portfolio. See ‘Transfers from the eToro investment platform’ below for more information on minimum transfer amounts and related fees.

Once your crypto wallet has been created, you will be able to see its full address along with a QR code for ease of use. This address can then be used to transfer the relevant cryptoasset to and from external addresses.

Transfers to the eToro investment platform

Selling your crypto

The eToro crypto wallet allows you to sell supported cryptoassets for USD. The proceeds of these sales will be credited to your eToro investment account balance, where you can reinvest your funds into different assets.

Applicable fees for selling your crypto in the eToro wallet vary based on the Club Tier associated with your eToro investment account. See the table below for more details.

Transferring your positions

The eToro crypto wallet also supports direct position transfers into the eToro investment portfolio for supported cryptoassets.

eToro does not charge any fees for wallet-to-portfolio transfers. However, standard blockchain fees do apply. You’ll see an estimate of the expected blockchain fee when you request a transfer.

Once you have transferred your position, you can manage it as you would any other position in your eToro portfolio, collect staking rewards (for qualifying cryptoassets) and easily reinvest your funds into different assets.

Note: You’ll need to manually opt in to earn staking rewards on your ETH positions. You can check your staking settings here.

Transfers from the eToro investment platform

You can transfer supported cryptoasset positions from your eToro investment portfolio directly into your eToro crypto wallet, which can be accessed and managed from the Wallet tab of the eToro platform. The eToro crypto wallet can support both internal and external transfers.

Transfers of cryptoassets from the eToro investment app into the eToro crypto wallet are subject to a percentage-based fee, charged in the relevant cryptoasset unit. Since this fee is capped, it can be more efficient to transfer larger positions. See the table below for supported assets, minimum transfer amounts, and related fees.

Please note: Cryptoassets held in CopyTrader or Smart Portfolio positions are not available for transfer to the eToro crypto wallet.

Transfers from external wallets or exchanges

For externally-sourced transfers, eToro charges no fees for sending or receiving cryptoassets. Standard blockchain fees do apply to both transfer types, though. You’ll see an estimate of expected blockchain fees at time of transfer.

Send transaction limits

Cryptoassets eligible for wallet transfer have specific transfer limits per transaction and per 24-hour period based on local regulations. Refer to the table below to see the limits for each state.

Other important information

XLM Wallet Creation

The Stellar protocol requires a minimum deposit of 2.5 XLMs for the creation of an XLM wallet. These 2.5 XLMs must remain in the wallet and cannot be spent. Once deposited, your Stellar wallet will be activated and will appear on the Stellar blockchain.

Ethereum Transactions

To ensure your assets are secure, the eToro crypto wallet is based on a multi-sig solution utilizing smart contracts to facilitate transactions on the Ethereum network. Unfortunately, not all wallet providers and exchanges support sending and receiving via smart contracts.

Please make sure the address provider on the receiving side supports ETH transactions sent from multi-signature addresses. If issues are encountered, the receiving party’s provider should be contacted.

TRX Wallet Creation

TRON’s multi-sig wallet activation fees are 100 TRX. These fees are set at the discretion of TRON. For more information, explore TRON account creation fees and TRON multi-sig fees. Please note: TRON wallet creation is available only for users currently holding TRON positions that are eligible for coin transfer.
