About iShares MSCI China ETF

iShares MSCI China ETF was launched on 29 March 2011, and is overseen by BlackRock, Inc. The fund monitors the performance of investments in the MSCI China Index. The index consists of equities in the Chinese market that entities outside of China may invest in. The values of securities in the index are adjusted based on free-float market capitalisation. The index primarily tracks the B-shares and H-shares, which are in the top segments of the Chinese securities markets in terms of market capitalisation. The fund, concentrated in a single geographic sector, China, is classified as non-diversified. The iShares MSCI China ETF policy is to invest the greatest proportion of its resources in securities that comprise its benchmark index and in other securities with economic traits like those in the index. This strategy gives investors building a portfolio with a single-country perspective substantial access to China’s stock market and the mid-to-large-sized companies participating in it. To extend the fund’s coverage, iShares MSCI China ETF can be paired with iShares MSCI China Small-Cap ETF (ECNS). The fund operates in the following sectors: consumer discretionary, communication, financials, healthcare, information technology, consumer staples, industrials, real estate, materials, utilities, energy, and cash and/or derivatives. The base currency is the US dollar. iShares MSCI China ETF trades on the NASDAQ using the ticker MCHI. Find MCHI price updates and further information on eToro.
