Is depositing safe and secure?

Yes, depositing money into your eToro investment account from any UK bank account or from any other method of payment is absolutely safe, private, and secure. All transactions are communicated using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, ensuring that your personal information is kept safe.

Depositing funds into your eToro investment account using eToro Money is secure and fast, with your cash funds safeguarded in a regulated bank account.

Furthermore, the eToro Money crypto wallet (found in the Crypto tab on your eToro Money app) is one of the safest crypto wallets available, with several high-level security features to protect against unauthorised access, including multi-signature facilities, DDoS protection, and standardisation protocols.

Automatic Recurring Deposits

An automatic recurring deposit is when you schedule an amount of money to be automatically deposited from your credit/debit card into your eToro account on a time specific basis. You decide the amount of money, the type of currency and schedule for the deposit using a credit card that has already been connected to your eToro account.

How Can I Start Recurring Deposits?

  1. After making a successful credit card deposit with the card connected to your eToro account, a banner on the “deposit confirmation screen” will offer you the option to make a recurring deposit.

Weekly: an automatic deposit is made once a week

Every two weeks: an automatic deposit occurs every two weeks.

Monthly: an automatic deposit occurs once a month.

4.After selecting the frequency, you have the option to customise the date and/or day of the deposit, or accept the default option which is a monthly deposit occurring on the 1st of each month.

What is the minimum First Time Deposit?

Depending on your region and country regulations, the minimum first-time deposit to private accounts varies between $10 and $10,000.

Why can’t I deposit using a payment method under another person’s name (3rd party payment)?

eToro does not allow third-party payments. A third-party payment is a deposit made using a payment method that is not in the same name as the owner of the eToro account. As stated in our terms and conditions, the owner of the trading account should be the owner of the funds. Therefore, there is no option to make a deposit using someone else’s payment method.

How do I deposit by credit/debit card?

To deposit using a credit/debit card, please click the “Credit Card” option from the drop-down menu, and enter the following details:

  • Card number
  • Expiration date
  • CVV (3 digits on the reverse side of your credit/debit card)

Within minutes, your account should be credited with the funds. If your request is not approved for any reason,  you will be notified via email.

The transaction will show as “eToro (Europe) Ltd.” on the financial statement of your payment provider.

How do I deposit by bank transfer?

To deposit funds by bank transfer into your eToro investment account:

  1. Click on ‘Deposit Funds’ at the bottom left of your screen.
  2. Choose the currency and the amount. Different details will be given for different currencies, so make sure you have chosen the correct currency.
  3. Select Bank Transfer as the payment method and click ‘Continue’. The bank transfer details will appear on the screen and be sent to you by email.
  4. Log into your bank’s web service (or go to your bank) to transfer the funds.
  5. Enter the transaction ID and your username as the payment reference.
  6. Complete the transfer and open a new ticket in our Customer Service Center to send us a screenshot of the payment confirmation (or a scanned copy of the SWIFT document from the bank).

Here are some notes to keep in mind when depositing by bank transfer:

  • Bank transfer deposits may take 4-7 business days to process.
  • Your eToro investment account will be credited once the transfer has been confirmed by our bank.
  • The exchange rate for converting to USD (if applicable) is calculated on the day eToro receives the deposit in our account.
  • You may be charged by funding providers involved in the transfer (intermediary bank, receiving bank).
How do I deposit using iDEAL?

iDEAL

  1. iDEAL enables you to make online payments in a reliable, secure and easy way. Payments are made using the online banking environment of your own bank.
    iDEAL involves a direct online transfer from your bank account to the business bank account.
  2. Available countries: The Netherlands
    Available currencies: EUR
  3. Supported banks: ABN AMRO, ASN Bank, Bunq, ING, Knab, Moneyou, Rabobank, RegioBank, SNS, Svenska Handelsbanken, Triodos Bank and Van Lanschot
  4.   Maximum single deposit: $50K

How to deposit:

  3.   Select your bank and click ‘Submit’
  4.   When redirected to your bank, enter your bank credentials
  5.   Authorise the payment directly through your online bank account.
How do I deposit using Online banking – Trustly?
  • An online banking transfer via Trustly allows customers to carry out bank payments simply, quickly, and securely. No additional registration is required.
  • Available in the following countries: Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden
  • Available for the following currencies: EUR and GBP
  • Maximum single deposit: $40,000 USD

How to deposit:

  1. Enter the deposit amount

Which currencies does eToro support?

eToro offers three account currency options: USD, GBP, and EUR.

For UK users
If you’re based in the UK, a GBP account allows you to:

  • Deposit and fund trades in GBP

Can I deposit from a Business Account?

Please be advised that using any corporate method of payment to deposit into a personal eToro trading account is against our terms and conditions. We can, however, offer you the option to open a corporate trading account.
Depending on whether your business is a sole proprietorship, partnership or corporation, certain documentation will be requested to set up the Business trading account.
If your PayPal account is not linked to a real business, and you wish to continue to use this for depositing, please downgrade your account to a premium or personal account through PayPal.

Is there a minimum for deposits made after the First Time Deposit?

Yes. All deposits other than the First Time Deposit (which varies from country to country) are required to be at least $50. For deposits made by wire transfer, the minimum required is $500.

How do I fund my GBP or EUR account (aka eToro Money) ?

1. Log into eToro, and go to the Wallet tab.

2. Click Add Funds under your GBP or EUR account, and choose between Regular bank transfer or Fast/Easy bank transfer.

How can I deposit GBP or EUR into my eToro USD account?

The available deposit methods vary by region. You can check the options for your location here.

If you’re in the EU or UK, the most efficient way to deposit GBP or EUR to your eToro USD account is through your eToro GBP or EUR account.** Here’s how:

1. Log into eToro, go to the Wallet tab.

2. Click Add Funds under your GBP or EUR account, and choose between Regular bank transfer or Fast/Easy bank transfer.

  1. Once the funds are in your GBP to EUR account you can transfer those funds to your USD account. Go to Wallet tab > Transfer > Move funds.

How do I deposit using Przelewy 24?
  • Przelewy 24 is an online payment service in Poland that allows you to make a secure deposit from your Internet banking portal directly to eToro. You don’t have to register and no information is stored that can be used to access your bank account.
  • Available in Poland
  • Available for the following currency: PLN
  • Maximum single deposit: $11,500

How to deposit:

  1. Enter the deposit amount
  2. Choose Przelewy 24 and click “continue”
  3. Select your bank
