Alliant Energy has a rich portfolio of electric generating facilities that operate on a diverse mix of fuels, such as coal, natural gas, and renewable resources. The generating facilities output is supplemented by purchased power. Alliant Energy achieved a significant milestone in November 2021 when it gained control of the Onion River Solar Project, which is situated in the town of Holland in Sheboygan County and has a capacity of 150 megawatts (MW). As part of an accepted application with the Public Service Commission, Alliant Energy bought the Onion River Solar Project, the sixth and last project in the state of Wisconsin. The project will add 675 MW of solar energy producing capacity. Alliant Energy trades on the NASDAQ using the ticker LNT.
