PostNL NV was founded in 2011, as a result of a demerger by TNT Express. PostNL NV provides postal services throughout the Netherlands, as well as in Belgium, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom. This mail courier is contracted by the Dutch government to provide postal services throughout the country, including delivering from Tuesday to Saturday and mailbox maintenance. PostNL NV’s headquarters is in The Hague.

PNL.NV stock is available for trade on the Euronext Amsterdam. The company went public after the 2011 demerger and is part of the AMX Index, also known as the Midkap Index. In 2019, PostNL NV issued almost $16 million shares to employees, along with dividend payments.

Not all PostNL NV jurisdictions operate under the same brand name. While the Belgium arm of the company does use the same name, German operations are conducted under the name Postcon, while Italian commerce takes place under the name Nexive.
