Virtu Financial Inc is a global financial services firm headquartered in New York City. Established in 2008 by Vincent Viola, former chairman of the New York Mercantile Exchange, the company provides transparent, flexible and innovative multi-asset trading solutions to clients worldwide.

Virtu Financial’s solutions support bids and offers in over 25,000 securities at more than 235 venues in 36 countries. Virtu makes use of cutting-edge technology to deliver innovative, transparent trading solutions. The company provides a complete suite of client solutions, including broker-neutral offerings and transparent agency execution.

The company completed its initial public offering in 2015. It is listed on the NASDAQ GS, and its stock is traded under the ticker VIRT. The company owns several subsidiaries around the globe, including Virtu Financial Europe Limited, Getco Asia Pte Ltd., Virtu Financial LLC, Virtu KCG Holdings LLC, Global Electronic Trading Company and Virtu Financial Ireland Holdings Limited. In June 2021, Virtu Financial announced that it had joined the Pyth network, a decentralised financial market data distribution platform. The information will be available for consumption through smart contracts using the Solana blockchain, as well as other major blockchains.
