Apple Inc. is a technology company that engages in the design, manufacturing, and marketing of smartphones, personal computers, tablets, wearables, and related accessories and services. The company was founded in 1977. With its headquarters in Cupertino, California, Apple operates and distributes its products worldwide.

The company markets its products under the iPhone, Mac, iPad, AirPods Max, AirPods, Apple TV, Apple Watch, Beats, HomePod, and iPod brands. Additionally, Apple owns and manages four software platforms, namely iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS to facilitate the downloading and updating of media content. The company also provides online services through its AppleCare platform. Other services include the App Store (Apple Store), Apple Music, Apple Pay, and iCloud. These different platforms allow customers to search and download applications and digital content such as books, music, videos, games, and podcasts. Subscribers can access Apple Arcade for games and Apple Music for curated listening experiences and on-demand radio stations.

Apple offers its customers an Apple Card, which is a co-branded credit card. The company distributes third-party applications through its App Store and sells its products through retail and online stores. Apple uses the AAPL ticker to trade on the NASDAQ.
