Ambev ADR is a beverage and drinks company that products, distributes, and sells its products worldwide. Its products include beers, soft drinks, carbonated drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic carbonated drinks, and more. The company was founded through a 1999 merger of two brewing companies: Brahma and Antarctica. The board of directors of the Brazilian Administrative Council for Economic Defense approved the merger in 2000. The company’s headquarters are located in São Paulo, Brazil. In 2004, between Ambev merged with Interbrew to form InBeV. In 2016, InBeV merged with Anheuser-Busch, an American company to form Anheuser-Busch InBeV. The company has been operating as a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch InBeV ever since.
While located in Brazil, the company operates in 14 countries in the Americas, with its products enjoyed around the world. Ambev holds Cervecería Nacional Dominicana, the largest producer of beer in the Dominican Republic, as a subsidiary. It is also the largest brewing company in Brazil. Ambrev's products are marketed under various brand names, including Adriatica, Brahma, Leffe, Budweiser, Corona, PepsiCo, and Lipton.
Ambev ADR is dual-listed on both the NYSE and Sao Paulo’s Brasil Bolsa Balcão under the stock ticker ABEV.
