Albany International Corp. is a textiles and materials processing company that operates globally. It develops and manufactures engineered components using automation and advanced materials processing. With its headquarters in Rochester, New Hampshire, Albany International was incorporated in 1895.
Albany International operates through two segments: Machine Clothing (MC) and Albany Engineered Composites (AEC). The MC segment designs, manufactures, and markets custom-designed, consumable belts, as well as forming, pressing, and drying fabrics for use in the manufacture of papers, paperboards, tissues, and towels. This segment also supplies engineered fabrics that are used in the manufacturing process in the pulp, corrugator, nonwovens, building products, fibre cement, textile, and tannery industries. The AEC segment designs, develops, and manufactures composite structures for use in the commercial and defence aerospace industries. AEC collaborates with clients to develop innovative solutions to reduce weight and improve aircraft performance affordably and quickly.
