Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. is an American fresh egg producer that sells eggs throughout the mid- and southern states. Based in Ridgeland, Mississippi, the company was founded in 1957. The eggs produced by the company account for approximately a quarter of US egg consumption.

Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. is the largest producer and distributor of shell eggs within the United States. Operating through a single segment, the company produces, grades, packages, markets and distributes shell eggs. Cal-Maine Foods also hatches chicks, grows and maintains flocks of young, laying and breeding chickens and manufactures feed as part of their integrated operations. As of 28 May 2022, Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. maintained a total flock that consisted of approximately 42.2 million egg-laying chickens and 11.5 million young female chickens and male and female breeding chickens.

On 30 March 2022, Cal-Maine Foods announced plans to expand the company’s cage-free egg production capabilities.
