Compagnie Financière Richemont SA (CFR.ZU) is a Swiss holding company founded in 1988 by South African Johann Rupert. Also known simply as Richemont, the company is heavily diversified through its subsidiaries, selling a variety of luxury goods, including clothes, watches and even firearms. The company holdings included tabaco, until a decision to divest in 2008. Richemont is one of Switzerland’s most successful companies, ranked as one of the largest providers of luxury goods in the world. It even enjoys a joint venture with Polo Ralph Lauren. Richemont has almost 30,000 employees and often earns in excess of 10 billion euros in annual revenue. CFR.ZU stock is traded on the SIX Swiss Exchange.
CFR.ZU stock value has fluctuated greatly over the last five years, reaching a high of 96.58 Swiss Francs back in the middle of 2018.
